Unruly, the award-winning global technology platform for social video advertising, has moved to 25,000sq ft of brand new office space at the Whitechapel Building.
Having already completed Unruly’s relocation in 2012 to Princelet Street BASE were invited to tender yet again and successfully secured the project. This covered the fit-out of the first floor with a new staircase linking to the Ground floor reception area. As a creative firm the brief was very adventurous from the outset and included optimum input from the client.
As soon as any visitors walk into the space they are wowed by a large open plan multi-functional reception complete with concrete floors and a climbing wall that screams you have arrived, welcome to Unruly!
From the main atrium visitors can see how the client interacts within their space with a huge reception desk that was designed and engineered to be moveable for client events. The joinery, power and data all move back seamlessly with ease to create an even larger event space with state of the art video walls.
When you make your way upstairs this is where you get to see how the design really flows. As you walk across artificial grass and enter into a virtual forest inclusive of a vegetable allotment, you get the sense that this office is anything but traditiona. Every area created was designed to simultaneously inspire creativity within the Unruly team. The space features separate star wars themed C-3P0, Stormtrooper and Vader rooms that are decorated in solid colours of gold, white and black.
The space also introduces a club house, a gym and a large tea-point area to cater for the team. They also have a loft room in which to showcase the Unruly technology brands. This office relocation is fun, practical and awe inspiring delivering the brief set out and all within the strictest of budget parameters
