BASE were thrilled to secure new client MS Amlin plc. As a global insurer and reinsurer they occupy several floors in The Leadenhall Building or commonly known as the iconic Cheesegrater building. BASE carried out the CAT A and B works to level 27 by imitating the finishes of the remaining floor levels 19—24 and 45 occupied by MS Amlin.
This fit-out involved mechanical and electrical alterations, works to the fire alarm and sprinkler system and high quality finishes including a feature 3D curved wall that had to be procured by specialist teams. Base enjoyed working in such a prestigious building with 360 degree panoramic views. The success of this project lead BASE to secure the fit-out at their Fenchurch Street building just a matter of months later.
The Cheesegrater is a technically demanding building, the BASE projects team challenged itself to deliver a better product than the previously highly fitted out floors. MS Amlin were extremely delighted with the end result in terms of quality, budget and timings.
