Base completed two floors for Aecom as part of a relocation project for their transport division at Sunley House, Croydon. These works covered both CAT A and B works to the 9th floor and a CAT B fit-out to the 10th floor.
The 9th floor CAT A works had to match the existing base build of the 10th floor whilst adhering to strict budget controls. These works involved the refurbishment of the Wc’s, mechancial and electrical alterations to both floors and the installation of a large comms room.
The building was not originally designed with raised access flooring in mind so this presented a restricted floor to ceiling height when raised flooring was introduced at a later date. Base had to remove the raised floor in the reception on 10th floor helping to increase the floor to ceiling height and sense of space.
The reception on the 10th floor was to serve as the main client facing area and had to be bright, clean, modern and entirely inkeeping with the image of Aecom. As a mutli-discplinary technical and engineering company and leading experts in this field, Aecom had a significant involvement with all aspects of the work particularly on the mechanical and electrical side.
